
Location: Leeds, UK
DRaW (UK) Ltd are seeking a self-motivated and hard-working post-graduate Landscape Architect, or a recently Chartered Landscape Architect to join our recently established Leeds office.
This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside highly experienced landscape architects within a rapidly growing practice, on a diverse range of projects both in the UK and overseas.
Responsibilities
Prepare ‘hard’ and ‘soft-works’ designs, detailed plans, analysis drawings, visualisations and report figures in accordance with the project brief.Undertaking site surveys and assessments.Assist with the preparation of landscape and visual assessments.Preparation of cost estimates, tender documentation and undertaking site supervision.Attend project and client meetings, networking events and public presentations.Presenting proposals to clients and stakeholders.Overseeing and coordinating projects as they progress, including liaising with other professionals such as architects and town planners.Preparation of promotional material and assisting with office administration and other tasks as appropriate to the level of experience and qualifications held.
Qualifications
Degree and Diploma in Landscape Architecture, or equivalent professional qualifications.
Essential Skills:
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).Dedicated, self-motivated and willing to learn new skills on the job.Sound technical and analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure to complete work to a high standard and meet project deadlines.Must be fluent with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office applications.Fluency in English language.Hold a full UK driving licence.
Desirable skills:
Knowledge of visualisation software such as 3ds Max, or SketchUp. Experience in landscape and visual assessment (LVIA) and report writing (or the desire to develop report writing skills).Previous work experience within a landscape architectural or multidisciplinary practice.An interest in learning.
Working hours:
Permanent, fulltime position, working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.
You would be entitled to 20 days paid leave per year plus bank holidays.
